Spring is in the Air!!

Photobucket

Forget love give me Spring!! Howdy my followers/fellow bloggers! It has been quite a while!! I'd love to say I've been so busy because I've won the lottery, but I haven't, so I'll have to stick to the truth of the fact that I'm horrible at consistency and keeping up with my blog!

Where to begin, where to begin! Well I guess I should start with the most pressing/obvious. I have been in the WORST mood of my life. Seriously, for the past week or so, I've feared for my hubby's life. Okay, I won't go that far BUT I have been pretty satan-like, and it is not very becoming for a lady such as myself. I have been so negative that it is unbelievable. I almost felt like I did about a year ago. I quickly snapped myself out of it though. I also came in today to see that one of my favorite bloggers, Tami G, was apparently in the same funk as me, until she determined to push away the yucky! So that is what I'm determined to do as well!

We are closing on our house in about two weeks. I'm very anxious/nervous about that. I think that may have something to do with my frustrations/stress right now. We have been hoarding money like crazy to keep a back up of funds if it is needed. I think we will be fine, but at this point I am just ready for this closing to be done & over and have us in our new house, unpacked and settled in. Also, I'm a big garden person. I love growing my own plants and flowers. It is killing me to not be able to get my hands on my new gardens and start working away to beautify them. I need to learn to be patient and take deep breaths and wait it out I guess.

Also, I met someone yesterday that had been offered a severance pay in order to keep the sexual harassment she suffered hush hush. At first I was shocked that a law firm would do such a thing. Then I started thinking, hmmm maybe I need to give details, line by line, to my old employers and have them give me hush money. I'm sure I would get way more than this girl did considering the law firm actually knew what was being done to me, along with at least three others. (grrrossssss).

But I digress, as usual! I'm super excited because they Yankees are coming to play the Rangers not on one but TWO occasions!!! & of course, I will be at both this summer!! I LOOOVE it!! Also, this weekend I'm getting in some rock climbing ANNND spending the rest of the day at a lake with some friends. Hopefully we will manage to pack in some sailing and jet skiing, but we will see. Hopefully I'll have some pics to post!

Hope everyone has been doing well and not losing too much faith in my blogging!!

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a great weekend, I know I sure did!

We checked out this romantic little Italian restaurant not too far from the house Friday night. It was fantastic! I love family owned, small restaurants. Saturday morning we took Buster to the dog park and he absolutely loved it. It was nice to see him able to socialize with other dogs and people. That night we went and checked out one of the "fun arcades" that is more geared to adults. It rated two thumbs down on our scale, so we will stick to the Main Event for now until we find something better. Then we went to see "All About Steve," which I wanted to see when it first came out. It was pretty funny, but in the end I was pretty sad. Wasn't what I was expecting I guess. Sunday was a pretty slow day. We went to watch the Rangers v. Rays (GOOOO RANGERS!). We had awesome tickets that we scored for free from one of the Majors. The seats were fantastic, except after the first inning we had to seek shelter, due to my pale complexion. haha. It was a blast either way. I loved it even more when I realized they kept popping up the score of the Yankees whipping the Red Sux. Fantastic! After the game we strolled past the great lake by the new cowboy stadium, took some great pictures and then headed home. Went grocery shopping then grabbed "Observe & Report" from the Red Box (I had convinced Rob to watch ghosts of a girlfriends past but they were all out of them). I cooked a nice dinner then we watched the movie. Surprisingly, again, some laughs, but it kind of made me sad at the end. What is up with the funny movies turning kind of sad at the end?

Anyways, all in all, a pretty great weekend. What about you guys? Do anything interesting?

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

Despite the fact that I have been struck with the insomnia stick once again, apparently, I am in a very chipper mood this morning. Rabbit came back yesterday from a trip & we went bowling, which I haven't done in forever. I started off thinking I should let him win, not knowing how poor of a sport he would be if I won (I simply wouldn't know since he beats me at every other game or thing we do lol). I figured, why not play to my full potential, so I did, and I won both games we played. He was a very good sport, which made it better.

This weekend is drill weekend, which means I will be left to my own devise during the weekend days. I think I may venture around to certain spots and take some pictures.

Thinking about going back to the water gardens and wander around and take time taking photos. We will see, depending on the heat!

I'm also going to get new contacts/glasses and run other errands. But what I am most excited about....

RANGERS! v. the Red Sux. I really hope to see the Rangers demolish the sux, but we will have to wait & see, but I certainly am hoping for baseline seats on this one. I have many, many, many reasons to hate the sux, my number one reason being I'm a diehard Yankees fan, always & forever...

Other than that, probably poker or a party at a friend's tonight and who else knows what else.... the weekend is still young, I'll wait & see...happy friday! :)

Yankees

Photobucket

I take A LOT of heat for being a Yankees fan. Mainly because I'm a southern girl. But I stand by "my" team for one reason only, my papa. My papa was from up north. He LOVED the Yankees. When I was growing up I'd watch as many games as I could. Granted it might not have been that many since I was the youngest child with no control over the programming we watched. I would be in heaven when I could catch the game and tell my papa the score. I started getting more into it as I got older and I discovered their shortstop, Derek Jeter, wasn't too bad on the eyes.

grrrrrowl....brown chicken brown cow.

Okay, enough of being a pervert.

Anyways, as the years went on I lost interest. Jeter became more popular, began doing commercial after commercial and suddenly became full of himself. I lost complete and total interest in the Yankees. It didn't stop my papa from asking how they were every now and then. I should have followed them still just to humor him, but I couldn't seem to find time.

Now every time I catch them on TV I stop and watch them for a while. Not because they are my favorite team anymore, but because they were my papa's. When they make a good play or win (which hasn't been much since they are at 10-10 right now I believe) I chuckle a little and mimic my papa's all famous "how about them Yankees?!
